Dennis Barnicle, Comments on the picture page of the trip:  "Those are some primo pictures. Really good, full of atmosphere. They evoke a very visceral sense of place. The patches of bright, primary color on the gondola are especially vivid against the dark, earthy tones of the stuccoed wall. The other Venice photo of the open waterway, gondola artfully positioned in the right foreground, golden domes softly obscured in haze is timeless and dreamy. I liked the heavy, low slung pont sur rive in Paris and the interesting perspective on the dark curve of apartments in London. "  (I wish I could write like that: "Other People's Data")

My Comments:

If you want the biggest difference in atmosphere, Venice gives you the most bang for your buck.

Costs

Deciding to drive on the left side of the road doesn't come with out costs.  For one, cars need to be reengineered.
In addition, many tourists every year are hurt or killed crossing the street.

Umbrella
When people tell you London is rainy, listen.  It took a really bad cold for me to decide to get an umbrella.
It also took some guy loosing an eye for me to figure out how to walk with it through crowded London streets.

Change
No wonder why England isn't on the Euro yet.  There were literally many currency exchange shops on every street.
I'm guessing about 5% of their entire GDP is in the currency exchange business.

Small Car
Huh...

Iceland Advertizing
I changed planes in Iceland.  90% of their economy is fishing, the other 10% being the airport I was in.  They are
Trying to develop a tourist industry.  Apparently this advertisement is supposed to be enticing.

French Cute
It was really good to see Danielle again : )
