I go to alot of this really cheap Off-Broadway theater.  Some of it is really good, better than Broadway, and some of it is so-so.  I've noticed that usually, companies with more money and props have better actors and stories, which is something that I didn't expect, since I thought that money didn't by art.  Go to www.smarttix.com for tickets for these types of plays.
